Bald Eagle Nesting Preserve On Lake Joseph

While kayaking or boating on Lake Joseph, you may experience watching the bald eagles feed by swooping down and snatching fish from the water with its talons.  The sexes are identical in plumage. Don’t get upset guys, but females are about 25 percent larger than males.  The bald eagle is the national bird  of the United States. In the late 20th century it was on the brink of extinction.  Populations have since recovered and the bird was removed from the list of endangered species and transferred to the list of threatened species.
