Snowshoeing at Sam’s Point

Feb 08th 2012

After a wonderful trip to Little Rock, Arkansas, to attend the Professional Innkeepers’ annual conference, I continued on to California to visit my new grand baby (and his parents and big sister).  So I’m back, refreshed and rejuvenated.

There’s still no snow here (as of today), but our local ski area, Holiday Mountain, is making snow and offers skiing and snow tubing for your winter pleasure.  As for hiking, there are a number of good trails in the area, including the one right on our property.  Sam’s Point, a preserve not too far from us, is having a snowshoeing day on Sunday, February 19, with snowshoes on loan if you sign up ahead of time, or you can bring your own.  Contact Heidi Wagner at [email protected] to register.
