Late Fall Doings

Nov 13th 2013

In a conversation that I had with a friend today, I suddenly realized that “The Holidays” are fast approaching.

One of my favorite activities during this time of year is held at the wineries that belong to the Shawangunk Wine Trail.  “Wreath Fineries at the Wineries” features a tour of all the wineries on the Trail, where participants pick up a wreath and add an ornament to place on it at each winery they visit.

Each winery has delicious treats to try along with their special wines, so not only do you taste wine throughout the day, but also sample wonderful foods that compliment the liquid refreshments.  Designated drivers are also welcomed and may sample food, as well.

My thought is that if we have guests that might like to take the tour, they could join up and hire a limo or van to take them around–could be a fun day, meeting other wine aficianados, enjoying the beautiful scenery, eating good food and not having to worry about where the next stop is!  Check out their website for details, and think about a wonderful weekend at the Inn, as well.
