What’s to do?

P1020439People who call us about accommodations often ask what there is to do in the area, and we try to keep up on events that are scheduled.  A great resource for all kinds of activities is the Sullivan County Visitors’ Ass’n, which is committed to publicizing all things Sullivan County.

When you’re wondering if and when to come up to the Catskills (and, hopefully, stay at the Inn), just check out the events calendar on their website. It looks like just a calendar, but you can click on each entry and get lots of info about the event.  Another terrific website to check when you’re thinking of visiting us is the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance’s Cultural Calendar. The link takes you to their home page, and from there you can click on their calendar to view available activities.

Now, for those of you who are interested in more outdoor activities, the Holiday Mountain Ski Area, “where great skiers begin,” is a great small ski area; and such places as the Bridle Hill Farm for horseback riding are so warm and welcoming to guests.

Meanwhile, we have lots of snow and our cross-country ski trail is tracked and ready for you to ski or snowshoe, so you can have the best of several worlds when you visit–go out around Sullivan County and see what activities are available; or snuggle in to our luxurious rooms with a fireplace and whirlpool bathtub after an invigorating ski or snowshoe trek.
