Mixed-Breed Dog in Water at Beach

A doggone good getaway

Looking for a dog-friendly vacation destination this summer? Look no further than our dog-friendly inn in the Catskills and enjoy these top activities with your four-legged best friend!

Agility: We’d bet your dog will make him/herself right at home in our guestrooms, but if you want to make sure everyone’s tuckered out at the end of the day and ready for a good night’s rest, bring some collapsible agility equipment for a run outside on the inn’s grounds.

Beach: Take your best friend over to the beach at Lake Superior State Park in Bethel, NY! Dogs must remain on a leash of no more than six feet but are definitely welcome at this New York State Park.

Dog swim: Another option is to stay at the inn and let your dog swim right in Lake Joseph! Catch some sun from the shore as your canine shows off their doggy paddle skills.

Frisbee/catch: Though you’ll probably want to play some of the lawn games with your human companion, be sure to grab a Frisbee or bring a tennis ball to throw around for your other traveling buddy.

Hiking: Take your furry friend out on a hike on one of the local trails. Our staff would be happy to point you in the right direction for a dog-friendly trail during your stay.

Picnic: Make a picnic with the goodies in our 24-hour help yourself kitchen! You may want to pack some of Fido’s favorite treats so they’re not left out at this picnic – though you may want to keep an eye on your sandwiches as our deli meats might get his or her attention.

Scenic drive: If your dog just can’t wait to get in the car, be sure to take them along on a scenic drive on a cool summer’s morning. Roll down the windows and soak up the wonderful views along the Upper Delaware scenic Byway or along the Shawangunk Mountains Scenic Byway.

Wine tasting: OK, we wouldn’t recommend your pup sampling some of the amazing wine made in Upstate New York, but the Robibero Family Vineyards, a winery on the Shawangunk Wine Trail, is pet-friendly! Well behaved dogs must be kept on a leash but are welcome in the tasting room and on the vineyard’s grounds.

Yappy hour: Bring home a bottle of wine from the wineries or pick up a drink or two at the inn and have a yappy hour at the property!
