Festivals in the Fall

476282461Some of the best experiences around here in Fall have to do with food–and these next couple of weeks are no exception.

Bethel Woods is continuing its Harvest Festivals–this Saturday (10/5) and next Saturday (10/12) are the last for this season, and are not to be missed!  This week’s festival showcases wineries in the area; and next Saturday is the Craft Beer Festival & Chili Cookoff. Even though the main subjects of the festivals are liquid refreshment, the food there is wonderful, and there’s fresh produce that you can take home with you.

But wait! that’s not all!  Early Bird Cookery is having its next-to-last farm-to-table dinner on October 19–a Polish-themed feast that will have you salivating!  Just click on the link and check out the menu.

Of course, a trip to the country wouldn’t be complete this time of year without visiting a farm and taking home some pumpkins.  Cunningham Family Farm is a great place to visit on a crisp, sunny fall afternoon.  I’d love to try the corn maze–they say it’s a doozy.

We hope you’ll take advantage of the beautiful Fall weather and visit Sullivan County and the Inn at Lake Joseph–you won’t be disappointed.
