Upstate NY Events

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is home to an impressive lineup of performances, festivals, concerts, art programs, and a museum. The drive time for concerts at Bethel Woods is less than a half hour from the Inn at Lake Joseph.

Bethel Woods is at the site of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair in Bethel, NY. The beautiful country views of Sullivan County serve as the backdrop to the 15,000-seat venue, with 4,500 seats under cover in the pavilion and 10,500 on a naturally sloped lawn. The venue recommends allotting at least 20 minutes to get from your parking spot to the pavilion seating area for a performance and that the gates open 90 minutes prior to the show’s start time.

Performances and Festivals

Many world renowned musicians, bands, and groups take the stage at the concert pavilion. From contemporary acts to stage legends, Bethel Woods is a top venue to visit for music enthusiasts.

Select concerts include a pre-show dinner buffet at the market shed, though tickets must be purchased in advance and seating is limited. The buffet is all-you-can-eat and has a cash bar for persons 21+ with a valid ID.

Other dining options at the pavilion include Back to the Garden Market, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Brooklyn Pizza, Festival Fare, Hungry Hungry Hippies, Kettle Korn, Luigi’s, Smokehouse, Snacks, Stage Side Grill, and a TD Bank VIP Area.
